Frequently Asked Questions
Pureis does not give you a “high” and is not addictive. It is not psychoactive, it works through a different pathway than THC.
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is a cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. THC is psychoactive and induces the "high" associated with recreational cannabis usage.
Pureis is formulated in such a stringent process that THC levels are non-detectable.
Sometimes taking too much of a supplement can be linked to undesired side effects. A review of CBD use reports that if a side effect was to occur, the most commonly reported side effects were tiredness, diarrhoea, and changes in appetite and/or weight.
Due to the minimal evidence of the potential effects on the developing foetus or newborns, CBD is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Due to the minimal evidence of the potential effects on growing children, our safety studies did not assess the suitability of CBD use in children. Therefore, CBD is not recommended in persons under the age of 18.
Yes, CBD is permitted by WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency), CBD is not a banned substance. However we recommend you check with your own sporting organisation if CBD is permitted.
We at Pureis love going above and beyond to bring you a SAFE product that’s clinically proven. This means that you can have complete TRUST in our high quality, fully compliant Pureis CBD products, supported by science. To deliver on our promise, we need to ensure we are free from toxins that can occur naturally in the cannabis plant. The plant source of CBD can contain traces of THC, other cannabinoids, terpenes, heavy metals, pollutants, pesticides, or insecticides. Our Ultra-Pure CBD raw material is free from all these components.
Sometimes “natural” doesn’t automatically mean it is safe for you. Unfortunately, today’s regulations allow companies in both categories natural and synthetic to use harmful, disruptive ingredients. Our R&D development team obsessively self-regulates and reviews every single precious ingredient to make sure it is the safest, most efficacious and most synergistic with the entire product line, while staying focused on both internal and external health.
Our raw material is of the highest quality and only contains Ultra Pure CBD, only containing CBD. Other sources of CBD can contain traces of other cannabinoids, terpenes, heavy metals, pollutants, pesticides, is weather dependent, or can have crop failure and be very difficult to get consistency from batch to batch.
Our raw material is the first CBD food supplement to be FDA registered with Drug Master File Number (DMF) from an FDA approved manufacturing facility in the US. FDA is the Food and Drug Administration in the USA and is known as one of the strictest quality pharmaceutical/food supplement regulators in the world. Pureis® is specially formulated to improve absorption. The manufacture of our Pureis® products is subjected to stringent quality measures; quality is guaranteed by GMP certification. Pureis® is suitable for vegans and packaging includes braille.
Yes, under current European and UK legislation, CBD is legal, providing the THC content is below 0.2%. Pureis® has 0% THC levels. The entire Pureis range complies with EU and UK regulations of THC levels. Country specific legislation may vary, and we recommend checking at a local level before buying.
If you’ve purchased any of our Pureis® Ultra Pure CBD oil products, you may have noticed that sometimes they turn pink. Luckily, there’s no need to be alarmed! When coconut oil, an ingredient in many of our products, is exposed to light and oxygen it can turn a beautiful shade of pink. This colour change is perfectly natural and is proof your coconut oil is of the highest quality, so it is 100% safe to use.
It is a natural chemical process mostly caused by the oxidation of sugars in the coconut (exposure to oxygen to Pureis® Ultra Pure CBD oil when opened). When these sugars are exposed to oxygen, they turn pink. Oxygen, temperature, light, duration of exposure, is all part of the oxidation process. This is why some coconut oil will turn colour and others will not. Similar processes occur in other fruits as well.
The pink colour does not mean your Pureis Ultra Pure CBD oil has “gone bad”. In fact, when coconut oil changes colour, it’s a sign to you that high quality coconut oil is being used. This is true for all of coconut oil, like coconut water, which also turns pink. We at Pureis will never compromise on safety and quality. This natural change does not compromise Pureis Ultra Pure CBD oil effectiveness.
We use coconut oil for a variety of reasons; for example, we know our Pureis Ultra Pure CBD dissolves extremely well in coconut oil, but more importantly, we know that CBD is poorly absorbed orally and, in some cases, only 6% of CBD is absorbed and the remainder is excreted, as reported in the literature. This is known as “first pass metabolism”; CBD is extensively broken down and processed for excretion by the liver. Coconut oil helps Pureis Ultra Pure CBD avoid the first pass metabolism and therefore maximises the effects of Pureis Ultra Pure CBD by allowing you to absorb the correct intake.
